Gertrude Loker, Sesser Burial: Maple Hill, Sesser

Gertrude Loker, 96, Sesser, died 4:15 p.m. Jan. 18, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Mrs. Loker was born Nov. 2, 1892, in Sesser, a daughter of Sam and Lovina (Almon) Scott.

Nov. 30, 1913, in St. Genevieve, Mo., she married Edgar Loker, who preceded her in death.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser with the Revs. John Wright and Clarence Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Loker is survived by two daughters, Louise Case and Viola Roberts, both of Sesser; three grandsons, Lyle Roberts, Eddie Roberts and Danny Case; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Eddie Scott of Farmington, Mo.; and several nieces and cousins.

Mrs. Loker was a member of Church of God in Sesser.

Mrs. Loker was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons, one granddaughter, one grandson, one brother, two sisters and three half sisters.
