Mrs. Bertha E. LOMAN, 74, of Whittington, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday. She had been ill for a week with pneumonia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Rescue Church northeast of Whittington. The Rev. Tracy DEES will officiate and burial will be in Kirk Cemetery north of Ina. The body will remain at the family home west of Whittington, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.

Mrs. LOMAN was the daughter of James M. and Sophronia KIRK.

She was a member of the Hazel Dell Free Will Baptist Church.

Her husband, Art LOMAN, preceded her in death May 11, 1953.

Surviving are three daughters, Florida FITZJERRELL of Sesser, Margaret MEISTER of Whittington and Fronia BURTON of Lake Bluff, Ill.; nine grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Leo KIRK of East St. Louis; two sisters, Ollie PEARSON of Union, Mo., and Fronia Burton of Whittington; and seven step-children, Mrs. Myrtle DAY, Mrs. Fern LANCE, Mrs. Leota ROBERTS, Mrs. Mamie KIRKPATRICK, Lloyd Lee and Artie LOMAN.
