W. J. "Bill" Loman
"Bill" Loman Died Sunday Night in a Mt. Vernon Hospital W. J. "Bill" Loman of Benton died at 9 o'clock Sunday night in a Mt. Vernon hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery that afternoon. He had been ill since Friday. Loman operated the Rainbow Inn tavern at Buckner and formerly a tavern south of West Frankfort. Besides his widow, Mrs. Genevieve Loman, he is survived by two sons, Glenn of California, Wm. Jr., of West Frankfort; a daughter, Miss Ethel Frances, St. Louis; a brother, Roy Loman, St. Louis; four sisters, Mrs. Taylor Wills, Mrs. Ralph Lovan, Benton; Mrs. Wm. Wyrick, Ewing, and Mrs. Al Seigel, Chicago. Funeral services were held at the East Benton Baptist church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Jesse Gettings officiating. Interment took place at the Masonic and Odd Fellows cemetery in Benton.
