William Homer Loman, Sr
SESSER -- William Homer Loman, Sr., 82, of Sesser, passed away Friday, March 14, 2003. He was born Jan. 12, 1921, near Sesser. He was the firstborn child of James Harrison and Iva Bell (Bradley) Loman. He was raised on a farm in Elk Prairie Township, Jefferson County, and lived most of his life in Jefferson and Franklin County. He had worked as a carpenter for many years prior to his retirement. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday March 21, 2003, in Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with internment at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Loman is survived by six children, Sue Green Independence, Mo., Bill and wife, Rosie, of Okinawa, Japan, James "Corky" and wife, Marian, of Kansas City, Mo., Bob of Excelsior (Springs), Mo.; Joe of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Becky Boykin and husband, Jesse, of Fairfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Ty Green, Rex Green, Kasey Loman, Christy Jackson, Ashanti Boykin, Hailey Boykin, Maryrose Loman; nine great grandchildren; Tammy Whitlock of Centralia, who he raised as a daughter; seven siblings, Harrison and wife, Betty, of Elkville, Howard of Chicago, Bill Joe and wife, Marlene, of Sesser, Geri Wakeup, and husband, Ray, of Brookfield, Ina Whitsell, of Mount Vernon, Kenneth and wife, Judy, of Bonnie, and Donna Roberts and husband, Cecil, of Sesser. Mr. Loman was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Harold Loman, Betty June Loman, Maxie Loman, and Ruth Ann Haynes.

Vernon, Kenneth Loman of Bonnie and Donna Roberts of Sesser. Mr. Loman was a member of the Carpenters Local Union.
