Frances Grace Lorance, 101, of Mt. Vernon died 10:40 p.m. Dec. 31, 2004, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon.

She was born Nov. 1, 1903, in Temple, Mich., to Frank and Gertrude (Spates) Deneen.

On Oct. 31, 1925, she married Noal B. Lorance in Varna; he died Nov. 14, 1981.

She was co-owner of Deneen River Co. with her sister.

Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home. Mr. David Jones will officiate. Burial is set for Crisel Cemetery in Dahlgren. Visitation is set for 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home.

Survivors include son Raymond Lorance and wife Betty of Opdyke; daughters Gertrude McGrellis and husband John of Fort Myers, Fla., Iona Giosta and husband John of Sun City, Ariz., Dolly Jones and husband David of Bonnie, and Judith Carney and husband James of Opdyke; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, three sisters, daughter-in-law Carolyn Sue Lorance, son-in-law Howard Buckingham, granddaughter- in-law Connie Lorance and two great-grandchildren.
