George Washington Manley
George W. Manley, a lifetime resident of this city, died suddenly at 7:00 o'clock this morning at his home, 1104 South 13th Street. His age was 70 years, nine months and nine days. Mr. Manley had been under care of a physician for heart disease. He was born July 29, 1872, in Jefferson County. On July 22, 1900, he was united in marriage with Daisy Winfree who survives. Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, William Robert and John Leroy Manley, both of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Beulah Bass of Vincennes, Indiana; a brother, Thomas Manley of Mt. Vernon; and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Holland of Mt. Vernon. Funeral arrangements were incomplete. The body will remain at Myers Chapel until further notice.
