Mae Manley, 88, of Mt. Vernon died at 12:22 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 1999, at her home.

She was born October 11, 1910, in Jefferson County, daughter of Tom and Vina (Piercy) Sheldon.

She married Thomas Guy Manley on January 14, 1930, in Evansville, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1969.

She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Shirley Manley of Three Oaks, Michigan, and Kay Armstrong of Cedar Lake, Indiana; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Manley was employed for several years at the Bloxom Company in Michigan City, Indiana. She was Baptist.

Grave-side services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Walter Sledge officiating.
