Josiah H. Mannen
Funeral services for Josiah H. MANNEN will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville. The Rev. Tracy DEES will officiate. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Fry Funeral Home where friends may call at any time. Mr. MANNEN, 51, of 2826 East 138th Place in Chicago, died at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in St. Catherine Hospital at East Chicago, Indiana, from injuries received in a fall at a construction job. He was born September 17, 1913, at Waltonville, the son of Josiah and Cora (SADDLER) MANNEN. On December 24, 1937, at Jackson, Missouri, he was married to Mary CHAPMAN, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Kenneth MANNEN, at home, and Jerry MANNEN, a senior at Atlantic Christian College at LaGrange, N.C.; two daughters, Terri Jo and Tamera Kay, both at home; two grandchildren; and two half-brothers, Hardy and Sebern MANNEN, both of Mt. Vernon. Mr. MANNEN was preceded in death by his parents, two half-brothers, and two half-sisters. During World War II he served with the Army Ordinance Corps. Source: Mt.
