MT. VERNON-Venetta Renay Maxey, 40, of Belleville died at 6:14 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 31, 1975, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Charles and Crystal (Lane) Maxey.

Survivors include her parents, Charles and Crystal Maxey of Belle Rive; two brothers, Jason Maxey of Texico and Lance Maxey of Centralia; two nephews; four nieces; and also several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ms. Maxey graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School. She was a member of the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Jeremy Hamson officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
