William Harley Mays, 119 Lou street, died at 5:20 pm Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 61 years, eight months and 14 days.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Tittle officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 6:00 pm today.

Mr. Mays was born in Mt. Vernon on July 27, 1908, the son of Nelson and Minnie (Pigg) Mays.

On Mar. 22, 1947, he married Alma Hughey, survives.

He was formerly employed in the press department of the Mt. Vernon Car Co.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, William Paul Mays of California; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Malone of Mt. Vernon; a step daughter, Mary Neideffer of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Donna Palmiter of Mt. Vernon; and five grandchildren.
