Connie (Cook) McKee
Connie McKee, 66, of Ina, passed away at 12:36 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. Connie was born in Mt. Vernon on Jan. 4, 1946, the daughter of Byford and Lee (Bliss) Cook. Connie was a member of the Ina Free Will Baptist Church and was retired as treasurer for the Village of Ina. She is survived by two sons, Mark McKee and wife Heather of Mt. Vernon and Heath McKee of Kansas City, Mo.; son/nephew, Jon Cook of Ina; grandchildren, Katlynn Cook and husband Jeremy of Sedalia, Mo., Taylor McKee of Carbondale, Macy McKee of Mt. Vernon, Kylie Arndt of Herrin, Kennedy Laskowski of Mt. Vernon and Kamden Laskowski of Mt. Vernon; great-granddaughter, Faith Cook of Sedalia, Mo.; nephews, Tanner Cook of Fayetteville, Ark., Ellis Cook of Fort Campbell, Ky. and Addison Cook of Fayetteville, Ark.; and niece, Micaela Cook of Berryville, Ark. She is also survived by her pet, Odus Ray. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daren McKee who died in 1993; and sister, Sharon Cook. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ina Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Brad Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Monday at the church. For those who wish, memorials may be made in Connie’s name to the American Cancer Society. The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
