Lifelong McClellan Resident Dies at 92

Mary Elizabeth McLaughlin, 92, died Sunday at 7 pm at her home in McClellan township where she had been a lifelong resident.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 pm inthe West Salem church. The Rev. C.H. Todd and the Rev. calvin Ryan will conduct the services and burial will be in the West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers chapel.

Mrs. Laughlin was born Oct. 18, 1853 in Mcclellan township, the daughter of Rowland and Jane (Alvis) Dare.

In 1872 she was married to Granville N. McLaughlin. Her husband died in 1922.

She is survived by one son, Charles McLaughlin, Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Jones and Mrs. Zora Hodges, both of Mt. Vernon, and 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
