Ruth A. Menzer Dies Yesterday At Age 86 Years Mrs. Ruth Amanda Menzer died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at the Setzekorn Nursing Home, at the age of 86 years, one month and seven days. She was the widow of Frank B. Menzer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Harmon officiating, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Menzer was born January 2, 1872 in Shiloh township, the daughter of Leander C. and Martha (Piper) Johnson. She was a lifetime resident of this county. She was married to Frank B. Menzer, who preceded her in death July 12, 1919. She was a member of the First Methodist church. Surviving are two sons, Louis L. of Arlington, Va., and Paul J. of Marion, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Glen Pettit and Mrs. Betty Lang of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Melvin Wicks of McLeansboro; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
