Thomas Mick Dies At Age 70; Funeral Tuesday Thomas Walter Mick, of RFD 6, Mt. Vernon, died at 10:40 am Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for two days. He was 70 years, two months and 17 days of age. Mr. Mick was a moulder at the Mt. Vernon Furnace & Mfg. Co. for years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Ross Partridge will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Memorial cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call. Mr. Mick was born July 31, 1883 in Jefferson county, the son of James M. and Francina Mick. He was a lifetime resident of this county. He was married to Alta Nevada Rich, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Lawrence of El Paso, Texas, Clarence of Urbana, Ill., Earl and Lloyd of Detroit, Mich. and Tommy of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Alta Cornstubble of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Dorothy Hulen of Long Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Woods of St. Louis, Mrs. Verba Castle of Topeka, Kansas, Mrs. Effie Edwards of Arkansas and Mrs. Jennie Overby of Marion, Ill.; and 14 grandchildren. One brother, Arthur, preceded him in death.
