Brian Keith Mitchell
Brian Keith Mitchell, 37, of Woodlawn died 11 p.m. March 4, 2005, in Washington County. He worked for Collins & Herman Construction Co. in St. Louis as a laborer. Mr. Mitchell was born June 23, 1967, in Jefferson County to David L. and Barbara L. (Etheridge) Mitchell. He married Tammy (Porter) Mitchell Oct. 23, 1992, in Alma; she survives.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Revs. James McKenzie and Kenneth Holland will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his grandmothers, Wanda Mitchell of Mt. Vernon and Mable Etheridge of Mt. Vernon; his parents, David Mitchell and wife Barbara of Woodlawn; his wife, Tammy Mitchell of Woodlawn; five daughters, Amber Hammond of Mt. Vernon, Tiffany Hargis of Woodlawn, Brook Mitchell of Woodlawn, Shelby Mitchell of Woodlawn and Destiny Slater of Woodlawn; a grandson, Colton Hammond of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Capt. Angela Barney and husband Al of Las Cruces, N.M.; a nephew, David Barney of Las Cruces, N.M.; a niece, Jessica Barney of Las Cruces, N.M.; his mother-in-law, Candy Colclasure and husband J.C. of Alma; and his father-in-law, Roger Porter of Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Herbert Etheridge and Donald Mitchell; and an uncle, Donnie Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church and Laborers International Local 110 of St. Louis.
