Harriet Mooney, 89, Dies at Dix; Rites Wednesday Mrs. Harriet N. Mooney died at 8:20 p. m. Saturday at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Adra Tinsley of Dix. She was 89 years, six months and 16 days of age. Mrs. Mooney, a lifetime resident of Dix, had been in falling health for some time. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. at the Dix Methodist church. The Rev. Ross Partridge of Mt. Vernon will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix where friends may call. Mrs. Mooney was born November 27, 1863, the daughter of John and Fannie (Parker) Osborn. On October 12, 1887 she was married to J. H. Mooney, who preceded her in death January 30, 1940. Mrs. Mooney had been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist church since childhood. She is survived by one son, W. E. Mooney of Dix, nine granddiildren, 35 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Hill. Source: Mt.
