Albert Morgan Dead At Age 58; Funeral Today Albert Franklin Morgan, highly respected citizen of Mt. Vernon for the past 31 years, died at 11:35 o' clock Saturday night at St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. His age was 58 years, four months and 26 days. . Masonic funeral services were held today at 2:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel, conducted by the Rev. A. M. Souers, assisted by the Rev. George P. Rutledge, and burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery. Mr. Morgan had been a railway postal clerk for the past 33 years. His home was at 701 S. 18th street. He was a member of A. F. & A. M., Mt. Vernon Council, Andrew D. Webb Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons, Patton Commandery, O. E. S. and White Shrine, all of Mt. Vernon and Mississippi Valley Consistory of East St. Louis, Ill. He was born April 8, 1885 in Jefferson county, near Drivers, the son of George and Ellen (Terry) Morgan. . In 1907 he was united in marriage with Ida Close, who survives. . Mr. Morgan was a member of the First Methodist Church. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, E. W. Morgan of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. P. K. Fugate of Olney, Ill., and Mrs. Charles S. Mayfield of Ullin, Ill.; two half brothers, Bernie Shell of Mt. Vernon and Floyd Shell of McLeansboro; a step-brother, Perlie Shell of Keenes; four half-sisters, Mrs. Bessie Payne of Mendota, Ill., Mrs. Junie Lane and Mrs. Nellie Smith, both of Wayne City, and Miss Flora Shell of Richmond, Ind.; and a step-sister, Mrs. Bertha Harvey of Wayne City.
