‘Burt’ Morgan Of Bonnie Died At Age 65 William Burton Morgan, 65, Route 1, Bonnie, died at 12:30 a.m. today in Mt. Vernon Hospital. He was a laborer for General Motors. Mr. Morgan was born in Jefferson County Jan 15, 1916, the son of Willie and Edith (Kelley) Morgan. On Dec. 16, 1950, in Jefferson County, he married Emma Lee Rowe, who survives. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Gulley officiating. Burial will follow in Old Baptist Cemetery near Waltonville. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, survivors include a stepmother, Effie Morgan of Bonnie; two daughters, Glenda Lee Morgan and Vickey Jane Morgan, both at home; two granddaughters; seven brothers, Jim Morgan of Steger, Ray Morgan of Kingsville, Mo., Ira Morgan and Billy Morgan, both of Kansas City, Mo., Robert L. Morgan of Independence, Mo., William Irvin Morgan of Mt. Vernon and Dan Morgan of Bonnie; and five sisters, Magie Ranson of Hornbeak, Tenn., Erma Grant of Kansas City, Mo., Dorothy Mays of Mt. Vernon, Virginia Hamilton of Opdyke and Gloria McNeal of Bonnie. Mr. Morgan was a member of the Nason Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and his parents.
