Shortly before going to press we learn the sad news that Mrs. George W. MORGAN is dead.

We have been unable to glean any particulars regarding her life, further than that she was born in Ohio, that she with her husband, G. W. MORGAN, came to this city from LaCrosse, Wis., about twenty years ago, where he engaged in the business which he still carries on.

Mrs. MORGAN was the mother of five children all of whom crossed over the river of death many years ago. The loss of their children was a great affliction of their lives.

At the age of about sixteen years Mrs. MORGAN united with the Baptist Church, with which her husband is also identified, and has ever lived the consecrated life of a Christian, and was a woman who had many warm friends.

Her death is a said blow to Mr. MORGAN, as it leaves him alone without wife or children.

The funeral services have not been determined upon as we close our forms.
