L. B. "Judge" Moss Dies Last Night; Rites Wednesday L. B. Moss, familiarly known as "Judge" Moss to his many friends, died at 10:30 o'clock last night at his home, 1022 Prairie street. His age was 85 years, ten months and 11 days. Mr. Moss was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Myers Chapel, conducted by Rev. George B. Rutledge and burial will follow in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call up to the funeral hour. Mr. Moss was born October 30, 1853 in Shiloh township, the son of Thomas L. Moss and Sarah Brock Moss. He lived in Jefferson county his entire life. He was a member of the New Shiloh church. On November 12, 1879, he was united in marriage to Addie Knight, who survives him. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Fred B. Moss, of Belleville; two daughters, Mrs. Dave Crowder of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Ruth Alice Turner of Phoenix, Arizona; and a sister, Ella Wimberly of Mt. Vernon.
