Elsie Nichols Of Mt. Vernon Died At Age 67 Funeral services for Elsie May Nichols, 67, Route 1, Bethel Road, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Tessie Minor and the Rev. John Postlewaite officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Nichols died at 6:52 p.m. Monday in the emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Jefferson County on April 7, 1917, the daughter of George and Mary (Bodine) Wilson. On Oct. 8, 1936, in Jefferson County, she married Aubrey N. Nichols, who survives. In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Bob Nichols of Englewood Colo., and Don Nichols of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Kay Scott of Batavia; three brothers, Charles Milliner of Ina, John Milliner of Hudsonville and Clifford Milliner of Tilden; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Chapman of Red Bud; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nichols was a Tupperware dealer for several years and also had been employed at the American Can Co. in Batavia. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
