FORT WORTH --Bud Lee Nicholson, 77, a retired musician for Cousin Bob Nicholson and The Lonely River Boys, died Friday.

Funeral: private at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Bluford, Ill.

Local arrangements: Brown, Gause-Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Nicholson was born in Greenville, S.C.

He was a musician with The Lonely River Boys at Veterans of Foreign Wars posts and dance halls throughout the country. He was a Baptist.

Survivors: Wife, Alice Charlotte Nicholson, Claude V. Nicholson and Tony R. Nicholson, all of FOrt Worth, Byford L. Beasley of Baton Rouge, La., and James H. Beasley of North Carolina; daughter, Zila A. Nicholson of Keller; sister, Opal Waters of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
