Dorothy Odle Of Mt. Vernon DiedAt Age 78
(Photo Included) Dorothy A. Odle, 78, 1115 S. 21st St., died at 7:30 a.m. Sept 2, 1986, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Nashville. She was born March 9, 1908, in Jefferson County son of Frank and Nebraska (Hutchison) Wells. On April 4, 1925,, at Nashville, she married Virgil Paul Odle, who died May 21 1976. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Fore officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include one son, Paul E. Odle and wife Imogene of Mt. Vernon, five grandchildren, Gary Odle, Lonnie Odle, Randy Odle, Debra Atkinson and Tom Odle; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother Oval Wells of Gallup, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Louisa Brown of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three randchildren, three sisters, four brothers and one son, Robert E. Odle. She was employed at Mt. Vernon Shoe Factory and was associated with her husband in the operation of a service station in Mt. Vernon for several years. She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. For those who wish memorials may be made to the Park Avenue Baptist Church Food Pantry and will be accepted at the funeral home.
