John W. OSBORN, a retired farmer of Elk Prairie Twp., died last Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lucy WATTS of Mt. Vernon. He was 89y9m10d of age.

He was the son of Louis and Martha (SMITH) OSBORN.

On January 19, 1896, he was married to Margaret KELLER, who died five years ago.

He had been a member of the South Hickory Hill Church for 58 years.

Surviving are two sons, Enoch and Jesse OSBORN of Ina, three daughters, Mrs. Nellie RHYNES of Ina, Mrs. Lucy WATTS of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Mary BEAN of Waltonville; 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the South Hickory Hill Church, conducted by Rev. J. G. PARSONS. Burial was at South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
