Lorene Osborn, 76, of Ina died 4:50 a.m. Oct. 7, 2000 at St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. She worked for several years as a nurses aide.

Mrs. Osborn was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Bonnie to James F. and Sarah Grace (Johnston) Wells.

She married Francis L. Osborn on Dec. 7, 1943 in Bonnie. He died May 16, 1992.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina. The Revs. Jesse Allen and Gilbert Daniels will officiate. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Ray Osborn and wife Joan of Bonnie and Robert Wayne Osborn of Low Point; a daughter, Joyce Maria Basham and husband Jay of Washburn; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Stanley Wells of Ina, James Wells of Myrtle Point, Ore., Charles Wells of Ina, and Carl Wells of Spanaway, Wash.; two sisters, Velma Lee Rhynes and Wilma Shaffer, both of Ina.

Mrs. Osborn was a member of South Hickory Hill Christian Church. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Good Samaritan and will be accepted at the funeral home at any time.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jo Ann Leffler.
