Aunt Polly OWENS, died at her home two miles northeast of town at 11:20 yesterday morning in the eighty-sixth year of her age.

Deceased was born in Tennessee in 1812.

She leaves eight children, six sons and two daughters, of whom all but two reside in this county. John, Thomas, David, George, Mrs. Mary HARLOW, wife of Henderson HARLOW, and Mrs. Margaret KING, wife of Thomas KING, are all citizens of Jefferson county.

The two non-residents of the family are Casey OWENS, of Wichita, Kan. and Mrs. Lottie SURSA, who lives in Texas.

Deceased was a most estmable lady and leaves a host of friends to mourn her death.

The funeral was held at 11 o'clock this morning. The burial was at Pleasant Grove cemetery.
