Nancy B. Owens, age 43, of Mt. Vernon died 12:14 P.M. Saturday September 6, 2008 at her home in rural Mt. Vernon.

Nancy was born July 6, 1965 in Mt. Vernon, IL the daughter of John Wesley Boyer and Reba (Hendricks).

She married Corey Owens on July 11, 2001 in Mt. Vernon, IL. He survives in Mt. Vernon.

She was an administrative assistant for Mt. Vernon Steel and also worked for Infinite Access.

She had attended Central Christian Church.

She was also a member of the Sportsman's Club.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Corey of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Ashton Taylor Boyer of Mt. Vernon, Terra Gluss of Waltonville, Samantha Smith and husband Karl of St. Mary's, Georgia, Athena Marie Owens of Nason, IL; her mother Reba Boyer of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Don Eric Boyer and wife Tammy of Nashville, Tn; and David Wesley Boyer of Bonnie, IL Four grandchildren, Alissa Ruth Ellis, Airica Marie Ellis, Kain Vincent Smith, and Ricky Chaput. Several Anuts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.

Memorial services will be held 7 P.M. Tuesday September 9, 2008 at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Marty Mills officiating. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 P.M. until Service time at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Knob Prairie Cemetery at Waltonville, IL.
