Died at family residence, two miles south of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, July 12, 1874, of paralysis, Mrs. Mary S. Pace, wife of Joseph Pace, aged 70 years, 2 months and 18 days.

Mrs. Pace was born in Shelby county, Ky., and came to this county with her husband and located on the farm where she died, about 50 years ago.

She had been a consistent member of the M.E. Church for more than fifty years.

An aged husband and seven children survive her.

The remains were interred in the Joseph Pace Cemetery at 4 o'clock, p.m., July 13th.
