Gilbert Page

Gilbert Page, 51, Dies Saturday; Funeral Tuesday

Gilbert Page, of 2415 Casey Avenue, died at 8:15 p. m. Saturday at the age of 51 years, one month and 25 days. Mr. Page operated the Gilbert Page Hardwood Lumber Co. at West Frankfort.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Andrew Caraker will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Masonic services will be held at the Chapel. Friends may call at Myers Chapel at any time.

Mr. Page was born April 24, 1903 in Tennessee, the son of Charles T. and Mollle (McGhee) Page.

He was married January 19, 1920 to Lucy Uselton, who survives.

Mr. Page was a member of Mt. Vernon Lodge 31, A.F. & A.M., Andrew D. Webb Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Patton Commandery and Shrine.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rose Hirons of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Loraine Miller of Bell Gardens, Calif.; one brother, John T. Page of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Jewell Fuller of Mt. Vernon and Sister Charles Marie of Maerra, La.; and three grand children.

In Other News: Seeks $15,000 For Alienation Of Affections

A $15,000 alienation of affection suit was field in circuit court in Mt. Vernon yesterday.

The suit is Lucy Page vs. Elsie J. Lehman.

The plaintiff contends that the defendant destroyed and alienated from her the affection held by her late husband, Gilbert Page. At the time of his death on June 19, 1954, Mr. Page operated the Gilbert Page Hardwood Lumber Co. at West Frankfort.

The suit states that the defendant resides in West Frankfort. Attorney F. P. Hanagan represents the plaintiff.
