Mrs. Ellen C. Patterson, aged 81 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mr. Dolph Garrison, in Marion, Ill., Sunday morning at 3:00.

For sometime, Mrs. Patterson had been seriously indisposed, due to her advanced years, and recently pneumonia developed which hastened her death.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Yearwood and his wife, who were amoung the pioneers of this county.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Patterson.

She is survived by two brothers, Richard and Sam Yearwood, one sister, Mrs Sam Meders, two daughters, Mrs. Dolph Garrison, Marion, Mrs Agnes Groves, St. Louis and one son, Wm. Patterson, Belle Rive.

The body will be brought to this city, tuesday afternoon, and taken to Wesley M. E. Church, where the funeral service will be conducted. Interment will follow at the Sursa Cemetery.
