Mrs. Patton was born in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of Giles W. and Elizabeth (Cron) Borden. She married Thomas A Patton on Feb. 27, 1900, in Mt. Vernon. He died in 1950. Surviving are her sons, C. J. of Galesburg, Paul of Lake Wales, Fla., and Robert E. of Joliet; daughter, Mrs. Ralph J. (Mary M.) Reed of Decatur; 30 grandchildren; 43 great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Four sons, one daughter, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Note: This is so nice to see a list of all the names of those who are at Hopewell Cemetery. Thank you for your effort. The obituaries you offer to share are going to be helpful. I am including one that you do not have. It is that of Maud Borden Patton. This is the correct spelling of "Maud". It is hard to tell from the obituary, but she died in Decatur, Ill. Also, I notice a mistake in the place of birth. She was born in Crawfordsville, Ind. She told me. Thanks again for what you are doing....Mary Patton
