Ray (Buster) PETERSON, 76 Rt 1 Woodlawn died at 8:45 PM Tue 24 Nov, 1981 at Mt Vernon Hospital.

He was a retired farmer, a transportation director with the Woodlawn High School for 18 years and was former owner and operator of the Woodlawn Cafe.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Sat at Hughey Funeral Home, with Grant HAWKINS and Gene FOX officiating. Burial will be in IOOF cemetery, Woodlawn,Il. Friends may call at funeral home after 6 PM Fri.

Mr. PETERSON was born 13 April 1905 in Woodlawn, the son of Homer Henry and Christina (WISEBECKER) PETERSON.

Survivors include 1 foster son James HOLLINGSWORTH of Woodlawn, 1 brother William PETERSON of Centralia, 2 sisters Ruby {Mrs.. Harl J HENLEY} of Ashley and Daisey {Mrs.. Herbert J. HOGAN} of Bells Texas; 1 foster grandson Paul HOLLINGSWORTH of Woodlawn; 1 niece EdaLee {Mrs.. Keith BOUNDS} of Centralia; 1 nephew William B PETERSON of Mt Vernon.

Mr. PETERSON was a member of Mt Catherine Christian Church Woodlawn and was former vice pres of the IOOF cemetery board.
