Funeral services for Eldon Bryan Phillips, 84, of Route 6, will be held at 3 pm Sunday at the Hughey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Loy Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 pm today.

Mr. Phillips died at 7:20 am Friday at Jefferson Grove Nursing Home.

He was born in Franklin County on May 2, 1894, the son of James Milton and Zilla (Somers) Phillips.

On Oct. 9, 1916, he was married to Lena Howell in Chicago. She survives.

In addition to his wife, Lena, Mr. Phillips is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Rev. Bert (Ruth) Hale, Bonnie, Mrs. Elmer (Pauline) Hopper, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Cyrus (Claudia) Thomas, Baytown, Texas; Ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Emery, Willard, Ross and Everett and one sister Avva Pastre and his parents.
