George Pierce

George Pierce, 89, of Bonnie, died at 3 p. m. Thursday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Pierce was born in Illinois on March 27, 1887, the son of Thomas and Sarah (Bumpus) Pierce.

He was married to Orphia Hamilton, who survives.

Mr. Pierce was a member of the Moore's Prairie Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p. m. at the Ina Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Schlag officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife, Orphia, and several nieces and nephews.
