Kathy L. Piercy
Kathy L. Piercy, 48, of Mt. Vernon died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 21, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on April 19, 1954, in Harrisburg, daughter of David L. and Mary E. (Treat) Williams. She married David L. Piercy on Dec. 5, 1987, in Marion and he survives in Mt. Vernon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mary Williams of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Michael J. Piercy and wife Mindy of Centralia, Kevin R. Cox of Pittsburg and David Lytle Piercy of Mt. Vernon; a daughter Emily K. Piercy of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Larry Custer and wife Dana of Ozark and Randy Cluster and wife Judy of Marion; four grandchildren, Hahhah N. Piercy, Ross M. Piercy, Andrew D. Piercy and Taylor E. Cox; and several newphews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father and a niece, Ashlee Lauren Bailey. Mrs. Piercy was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Steve Edwards and Stephen Piercy officiating. Interment will follow at Boyd Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church. Memorials may be made to Calvary United Pentecostal Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
