Eva L. (Pigg) Pigg
Eva L. Pigg, 82, Route 7, died 2:35 am March 30, 1988, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Pigg was born July 24, 1905, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Alexander and Nancy Brookman (Green) Pigg. On Nov. 3, 1920, in Benton, she married Moss H. Pigg, who died July 8, 1963. Services will be 10:30 am Friday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Buss Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 pm today at the funeral home. Mrs. Pigg is survived by two grandsons, Fred Pigg and wife Debi of Mt. Vernon and Alan Pigg and wife Kay of Marietta, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Pigg, Emily Pigg, Ashley Pigg and Alison Pigg; one daughter-in-law, Cleo Pigg of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pigg was a member of Campground Missionary Baptist Church, VFW Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies of the Moose and a 60-year member of Royal Neighbors of America. Mrs. Pigg was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, five sisters and one son, Wilbur Pigg.
