Evangeline PUCKETT, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Puckett, was born in Mt. Vernon, Ill., Nov 29, 1925. Little Evangeline was a bright and beautiful baby until overtaken by sickness.

Her little mission seemed to be to call forth the love and sympathy of her parents and friends and then to lead the way to a better land where there is no sickness.

After the most tender care and patient nursing she went away at 8:25 o'clock Thursday morning,September 2, 1926, at the age of 9 months and three days.

"How beautiful the life, as beautiful as fleeting,
The time that baby came with us to dwell,
Just long enough to give a happy greeting,
Just long enough to bit us all farewell."

Funeral services conducted September 3rd at Hickory Hill church by Rev. Earl C. Phillips. Burial in Hickory Hill cemetery.
