Sharon L. Pugh, 66, of Benton and formerly of Mt. Vernon died at 1:01 p.m. March 31, 2006 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was a retired machinist for Caterpillar Company.

She was born Nov. 14, 1939 in Jefferson County to Robert L. and Mildred L. (Brown) Grimes.

She married Stanley R. Pugh on May 26, 1956 in Mt. Vernon. He survives in Benton.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery north of Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the cemetery. Rev. Joe Arview will officiate.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael R. Pugh of Benton, Stan M. Pugh of San Francisco, CA.; three granddaughters, Elizabeth Michelle Pugh of Cadiz, KY.; Susan Renee Faith of Murray, Ky.; Christina Joy Robertson of Mt. Vernon; four great grandchildren, John Gallagher of Cadiz, Ky., Alexandria Elizabeth Gallagher of Cadiz, Ky., DuPre Rodgers of Cadiz, Ky., Nicholas Crass of Murray, Ky.; two brothers, John S. Brown of Benton and Mark Edward Brown of Wood River. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her parents, and one brother, Michael R. grimes preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pugh was a member of Jackson Grove Baptist Church in Benton.
