Vona M. Quinn, 90, of Mt. Vernon died 9:15 a.m. June 9, 2005, at Jeffersonian Care Center in Mt. Vernon.

She was born Nov. 13, 1914, in Elk Prairie Township in Nason to Samuel and Florence (Vanatta) Reynolds.

Mrs. Quinn married Robert Lee Quinn April 8, 1935, in Benton; he preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1985.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Bonnie.

Survivors include three sons, Billy L. Quinn of Mt. Vernon, Jerry W. Quinn and wife Kathy of South Elgin and Garry D. Quinn of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mary F. and husband Nolan McKowen of Mt. Vernon and Patsy E. Tucker of Sycamore; two sisters, Lena Clarke and Betty Martin, both of Mt. Vernon; four grandsons, Nolan L. McKowen and wife Lisa, Courtney L. McKowen, Christopher L. McKowen and wife Beth and Jim Tucker; six granddaughters, Gina D. Lisenby, Doni L. Baker, Sandra K. Barton, Joni Tucker, Rhonda Haurum and Pam Beach; and great-grandchildren Kelly, Kegan, Ashtin, Tyler, Krysta, Zachary, Jeri Lynn, Doug, Danny, Shiela and Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two granddaughters, Jamie L. Tucker and Donna Quinn Grigg; two brothers, Harvey and Roy Reynolds; two sisters, Ferne Beard and Evelyn Balmer; and a son-in-law, Bill Tucker.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with Ron Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Abner Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, where you may call 246-0100 for more information.
