George Washington Ragland
Geo. W. Ragland Dies This Morning George Washington Ragland, who resided with his daughter, Mrs. J. W. Dycus of 623 north 12th street, died at 8 a.m. today. Funeral services will be held at the Universalist church in Waltonville at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Clyde H. Todd of Mt. Vernon and burial will be in Knob Prairie cemetery. Mr. Ragland was born December 25, 1868, in Perry county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Ragland, Sr. He was a farmer and a member of the Modern Woodman lodge. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. J. W. Dycus, and one granddaughter, Mary Ann Dycus. His wife, the former Ora Norris, preceded him in death April 1, 1942. Mr. Ragland was the last member of a large family. The body will lie in state at the Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville where friends may call.
