Roy Ramsey Of Bonnie Died At Age 88

Roy E. Ramsey, 88, Bonnie, died 7:12 p.m. June 6, 1992, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

Mr. Ramsey was retired from Mt. Vernon Car Manufacturing Co.

He was born Dec. 2, 1903, in Jefferson County, a son of William and Venety (Bernard) Ramsey.

Sept. 25, 1930, he married Neveda Glasco, who survives.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Jesse Allen officiating. Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery Tuesday.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ramsey is survived by two sons, Randall L. Ramsey and wife, Geraldine, of Sarasota, Fla., and Theodore Ramsey of Coal City; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Allen of Bonnie; one sister, Mrs. Helen Moore of Texico; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ramsey was a member of Nason Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Good Samaritan Regional Health Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
