Mrs. Mabel Raney Dies At Hospital; Funeral Thursday Mrs. Mabel Haney of 1715 Jefferson avenue, wife of John Henry Raney, died at 9:30 o'clock last nigth at Good Samaritan Hospital. Her age was 39 y ears, six months and 17 days. She had been critically ill for the past two weeks. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Free Will Baptist Church, conducted by the REv. M.L. Baker, and burial will follow in Cubb cemetery. The body will lie in sgtate at the Pulley Funearl Home where friends may call at any time after 6:00 pm today. Mrs. Raney was born December 5, 1906 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Reuben and Mollie Spain Hayes. On October 14, 1923 she was united in marriage with John Henry Raney, who survives. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist church. Besides her hsuband, she is survived by one son, John Henry Raney, Jr. of New York; her mother, Mrs. Mollie Huntman of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Smith of Anna, Ill., and Mrs. Gretta Garvoyhas of Mt. Vernon; and one brother, Freddie Hayes of Mt. Vernon.
