Roy Rash Of Mt. Vernon Died At Age 81 Roy Rash, 81, Mt. Vernon, died 4:54 a.m. Oct. 12, 1988, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. Mr. Rash was a retired from Reynolds Metal Co. in McCook. Mr. Rash was born Nov. 17, 1906, in Illinois, a son of Ira Everett and Ethel (Hines) Rash. Jan 16, 1932, he married Allie McLaughlin, who survives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Johnston Funeral Home with the Rev. Leland Hale officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF cemetery in Woodlawn. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rash is survived by two daughters, Johnetta Clontz and Judy Bates, both of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bert Rash and Earl Rash, both of Mt. Vernon, Arthur Rash of Austin, Texas, and Virgil Rash of Philo; four sisters, Cora Johnson of Canyon Country, Calif., Helen Teal of Mt. Vernon, Verlene Wallace of Paducah, Ky., and Wilma Kowalski of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rash was a member of Church of God in Bluford and Moose Lodge No. 755 in Mt Vernon. Mr. Rash was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, four sisters and two brothers.
