Helena June Ray, 75, of Sesser died 6:30 a.m. Dec. 20, 1999, at home.

Mrs. Ray was retired. She had been a cashier at Bank of Sesser for 29 years.

She was born June 4, 1924, in Ina to Edgar and Sarah (Hodge) Kirk.

She married Goah Ray Jr.; he died Oct. 17, 1992.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, with Brother Gene Outland officiating. Burial will be at Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ehrlich of Sesser; special friend Ralph Galloway of Sesser; two sisters, Minnie White of Mt. Vernon and Dorothy Gardiner of Sesser; and a brother, Bud Kirk of Sesser. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Evelyn.

Memorials may be made to the Perry County Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
