Hattie E. Reed Of Waltonville Dies At Age 89

Hattie E. Reed of Waltonville died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospital, at the age of 89.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Fry Funeral Home with the Rev. Russsell Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Knob Prairie cemetery near Waltonville. The body will lie in state at the Fry Funeral Home, Where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.

Mrs. Reed was born in Hamilton county on August 6, 1879, the daughter of William Logan and Sophronia (Iatham) York.

In 1898, in Mt. Vernon, she married Walter Reed, who preceded her in death in 1948.

For 50 years she was a member of the Waltonville Methodist church. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America in Waltonville.

Survivors include a son, Paul Reed of Roxanan; four grandsons; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two daughters, and two brothers.
