Bessie Ellen Reynolds, 83, of Waltonville, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Mrs. Reynolds was born in Jefferson county on July 26, 1892, the daughter of James F. and Emma (Newell) Lenington.

She was married on August 16, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, to Samuel R. Reynolds, who survives.

She was a member of the Antioch Baptist church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Chapel in Waltonville, with the Rev. William Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.

Mrs Reynolds is survived by her husband, Samuel; three grandchildren, Steve, Mt. Vernon, Becky Reynolds, Tampa, Fla., and Ronnie Dent, Waltonville; and a brother Neal Lenington, Belle Rive.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ray, who died in 1968.
