William H. Rhynes died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt Vernon Sunday Afternoon. He was 79 years old. (Born 1869- Died 1948)

Mr Rhynes had resided in Mt. Vernon during the past 50 years and was a foundry worker before his retirment a few years ago.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sims (Simeon) Rhynes and was born in this county (Jefferson).

His wife, the former Samantha E. Robinson preceed him in death in September 1936. He made his home with Mr and Mrs Garold Dage in Mt Vernon. Mrs Dage grew up in the Rhynes home.

Surviving are four brothers, Winfield Scott Rhynes, Thomas Oakley Rhynes, John Riley Rhynes and Walter Lee Rhynes. One sister Leta Barker of Barod Mi.

Funeral was held at 1 PM Tuesday at Myers Chapel in Mt Vernon and burial was at Bethel Memorial Cemetery.
