Mrs. Mary Rich Of Route 6 Dies At Age 53 Years Mrs. Mary Rich, of ROUte 6, Mt. Vernon, died at 4:50 pm Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past week. She was 53 years, seven months and 28 days of age. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the East Salem church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Earl Frazier will officiate and burial will be in Williams cemetery. Friends may call at Myers chapel after 11 am Friday. At noon Saturday the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Mrs. Rich was born December 2, 1904 in Hamilton county, the daughter of W. W. and Emma (Wilton) Holland. In 1929 she was married, in Wayne City, to Nathaniel "Nat" Rich, who survives. Besides her husband, she is survivved by three sisters, Maggie Payne, Fanny Gowers and Lola Sinks, all of Mt. Vernon; two stepdaughters, Mamie Feltman of Mt. Vernon and Thelma Dedman of East St. Louis; two step-sons, Herman Rich of Mt. Vernon and Orville Rich of Ottawa, Ill.; and 14 grandchildren.
