Charles Marion RICHARDS, a retired farmer, died at 9:00 o’clock Wednesday night at his home in Bonnie. He was 81y6m22d of age. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Logan Street Baptist Church. The Rev. Logan FORD of McLeansboro and the Rev. Bird GREEN of Mt. Vernon will officiate and burial will be in Hams Grove Cemetery. The body will remain at the Pulley Funeral Home until noon Friday, when it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Mr. RICHARDS was born February 1, 1872 in Mt Vernon, the son of William H. and Kizar (WILLIAMS) RICHARDS. On March 20, 1900, he was married to Rilda BUMPUS, who survives. Mr. RICHARDS was a member of the Logan Street Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons. Henry of Texico, Allen of Bonnie and Delbert of Mt. Vernon; 2 daughters, Mrs. Florence HUTCHISON of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Veda ARNOLD of Sesser; 2 sisters, Mrs. Florence ATCHISON of Belle Rive and Mrs. Eva BIGHAM of Benton; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
