Funeral Services Held Sunday For Mrs. Richardson Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Helen H. Richardson, wife of Vol. E. Richardson, who died Friday afternoon at the family residence, 200 N. 12 th street. A life-long and devoted member of the First Methodist church, she was active all of her adult life in its causes. She served as organist and choir director for 17 years, was secretary of the primary department of the Sunday school, and took part for many years in the Woman's Society for Christian Service. Mrs. Richardson also was a charter member of the Monday Study Club. Her funeral was conducted by the Rev. Dale Harmon, Pastor of the First Methodist, at Myers Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Richardson was born in Mt. Vernon July 2, 1866, the daughter of John T. and Lora (Ridgeway) Hartnagel. She was married May 2, 1908, to Vol E. Richardson. Their Golden Wedding anniversary was observed last year.Surviving are Mr. Richardson and one daughter, Miss Eleanor Richardson, an instructor at Mt. Vernon high school. Source: Mt.
